Childhood trauma

This session will focus on:

  • Understanding how children develop attachments.
  • Recognising the different types of attachment that can be formed.
  • How different types of attachment can impact a child’s education

Autumn term: Bitesize Attachment and Trauma

Autumn term will be a series of bitesize sessions on Attachment & Childhood Trauma. While it isn't essential to join all three it will create the maximum benefit of understanding and supporting pupils.

This workshop will focus on:

  • Understanding how children develop attachments.
  • Recognising the different types of attachment that can be formed.
  • How different types of attachment can impact a child’s education.

Tuesday 14th November

Session 2: Insight & understanding of childhood trauma

This session will focus on:

  • What childhood trauma is 
  • The effects and consequences of childhood trauma
  • Looking at the implications for education, care & parenting 

Tuesday 21st November

4-5.15pm

Session 3: Support strategies for pupils with attachment and childhood trauma

This session will focus on:

  • How to develop positive strategies to manage and support our pupils with attachment and/or trauma
