World Book Day celebrations at West Kirby School & College

Pupils and staff at West Kirby School & College enjoyed a fantastic day celebrating World Book Day, bringing creativity, imagination and a love of reading to life across the school.
Classrooms were filled with colour and inspiration as staff and pupils decorated their doors based on favourite stories, while many pupils and staff dressed up as well-known book characters. The effort, creativity and enthusiasm shown throughout the day created a wonderful atmosphere across the school.
Celebrations concluded with a whole-school World Book Day quiz, where pupils tested their knowledge of stories and characters in a fun and engaging way.
Events like this highlight the important role reading plays in school life. Books help pupils explore new ideas, build confidence, and spark creativity, and it was clear how much our school community enjoys sharing and celebrating stories together.
A big well done to everyone who took part and helped make the day such a memorable celebration of reading.
