Compliments & Complaints

How to let school know if you have any comments or compliments? 

It is always good to receive positive feedback. This can be given verbally or by contacting us using the form below.  It is encouraging to hear when situations go well and are appreciated and your comments will always be shared with staff and pupils where appropriate.

There is also an opportunity to give compliments through any school questionnaires or Parent View. https://parentview.ofsted.gov.uk/

Who to contact if you have a concern?

At West Kirby School, we want not only your child/children to be happy, but also parents & carers.  If you have any queries or concerns whatsoever, please do not hesitate to raise these, in the first instance, with your child's teacher.

A concern may be defined as ‘an expression of worry or doubt over an issue considered to be important for which reassurances are sought’.

We take concerns seriously and will make every effort to resolve the matter as quickly as possible.

To share a concern please fill in our Concern Form. This will be forwarded to the relevant member of staff or SLT.

Who to contact if you have a complaint?

In the unlikely event that, after speaking to the appropriate class teacher, or an appropriate member of staff, you feel you still have not received a resolution to your concern, please complete a complaint form included below or from the school office. Please include who you have spoken to and your expected resolution, together with any other information which may assist us in investigating your complaint.   

A complaint may be defined as ‘an expression of dissatisfaction, however made, about actions taken or a lack of action’.

School will acknowledge receipt of your complaint and a Deputy Headteacher or the Headteacher will endeavour to contact you as soon as possible to discuss it; you will receive a response to your complaint no later than 10 working days following receipt of full details, in line with the Department for Education guidelines.  

We take complaints seriously and will make every effort to consider and resolve the matter.
