Key Stage 2

In Key Stage 2 we have a creative, multi-sensory curriculum which creates a sense of awe and wonder and help to inspire a lifelong love of learning. The holistic nature of our practice will promote positive mental health and well-being and will enhance our children’s life skills, social skills and cultural awareness.

The curriculum in Key Stage 2 takes careful consideration of the National Curriculum. We use a cross curriculum approach of which the main aim throughout is to provide for the child a relevant, enjoyable and interesting experience, which can extend and nurture the innate curiosity they have about the world in which they live. We ensure that learners are challenged and that they experience a rich, exciting and relevant curriculum. First hand, memorable experiences are incorporated into each new topic in the form of workshops and trips.

In the morning sessions we focus on Phonics, reading, English and Mathematics.  We use a multi-sensory approaches to teaching basic skills are proven to successfully meet the needs of our pupils and ensure maximum progress.

With having Speech and Language Therapists and Occupational Therapists in the classroom we are able to include discrete social skills, life skills and PSHEE.
