Community SEND Training Workshops – Delivered by West Kirby School

We’re offering free training to local schools and professionals, to extend our knowledge and expertise across the community with the aim of supporting our young people.

West Kirby School and College provide specialist education for Primary, Secondary & Post 16 pupils, supporting young people with complex special educational needs and disabilities, across a range of cognitive abilities.

Below are forthcoming dates of workshops being offered at our school:

 

Tues 11th Feb                   Intro to Attachment & trauma, 4-5pm - 10 places 

Wed 26th Feb                    Autism Awareness, 3.30-5pm - FULL 

Tues 10th March                SEND Science workshops (for SEND primary pupils)  1.30-3pm - FULL

Thurs 12th March              SEND Science workshops (for SEND primary pupils), 1.30-3pm - 10 places - STILL SPACES

Monday 16th March           Celebrating Neurodiversity, 4-5pm - 10 places - ONLY A FEW PLACES LEFT

Thurs 26th March              SEF Writing within the new framework, 3-5pm - 4 schools - 1 SCHOOL SPACE LEFT

 

Spring term

Thurs 23rd April                Behaviour Management strategies, 4-5pm - 10 places - 1 SPACE LEFT

Tuesday 28th April            Supporting reluctant readers in Secondary schools, 4-5pm - 10 places

Tuesday 12th May             Intro to Attachment & trauma, 4-5pm - 10 places - FULL

Wed 13th May                  Autism Awareness, 3.30-5pm - 12 places

Tues 19th May                  Writing SEN paperwork, 4-5pm - 10 places

Thurs 21st May                 SEF Writing within the new framework, 3-5pm - 4 schools

 

Summer term

Wed 8th July                    Autism Awareness, 3.30-5pm - 12 places
