West Kirby School and College were accredited as Duke of Edinburgh Licensed Hub in 2018. Our staff member Mrs Debbie Draycott is the school DofE Lead, together with a dedicated team.

The Duke of Edinburgh Award is a national award scheme which is renowned and greatly valued by colleges, companies and work places. We've been providing our pupils with the opportunity to take part in the DofE award for several year. It gives our young people essential life skills such as resilience and the opportunity to learn new skills or get involved in the community. 

In this time, many pupils have successfully achieved their Bronze, Silver and Gold awards. Our pupils are as proud of their DofE achievements as they are with any other academic qualifications or achievements they gain at WKS.
