This term we’ve really loved watching our young people having a lot of fun learning wheelchair rugby! With regular sessions we’ve seen pupils’ confidence grow and progress skills each week.
With mixed class groups, it’s been brilliant for social skills along with hand eye co-ordination and resistance work. Maybe the most popular thing is legitimately bashing into each other (and staff!) and the healthy competition!
Scott’s review of his Wheelchair Rugby experience:
"On a Tuesday afternoon, I have been playing wheelchair rugby. I have enjoyed trying a new sport.
My favourite thing about the sport is bashing into other people! I learnt lots of new rules. I would like to keep doing wheelchair rugby as I have really enjoyed it!”
