Residential UnitsIntermediate Resident Boys' Unit
The Intermediate Resident Boys Group is a
unit that accommodates up to nine young people in years 8 and 9.
Our unit creates the opportunities for the young people to develop and build
their social, domestic and independent skills.
The young people are encouraged to interact positively and to take
responsibility for their own behaviour and environment.
Emphasis is placed on individuals to show consideration and maturity in
order for them to gain further personal and group skills, with a view to
developing independent living skills combined with social maturity.
An environment of mutual trust, respect, tolerance and understanding of
others is continually encouraged. This leads to a young person improving
their self-confidence and self-esteem.
