Outdoor Education

Pupils have the opportunity to access a wide range of out of school activities and experiences. All are encouraged to participate in a residential trip during the summer term. The trips are arranged to cater for all ages and abilities, ranging from a canal boat trip to camping or mountain biking.

Our Duke of Edinburgh Programme allows pupils to experience outdoor pursuits in areas such a North Wales and Cumbria. Pupils can also choose to follow the Outdoor Education course from our Key Stage 4 option system.

There are also opportunities to experience the food, language and cultures of other countries. In recent years we have visited Amsterdam, Barcelona, Nice and Paris. While closer to home pupils regularly make use of the local facilities such as the beaches and Marine Lake, theatres, museums, swimming pools, golf driving range and Aston Park.
