Footprints on the
Map
|
Footprints on the map is our school project designed to make
links with young people in different parts of the world.
The aims of our project are:
- To learn about the lives of young
people in other countries;
- To find out about other cultures;
- To show our visitors some of the
best things about our own culture;
- To make new friendships;
- To establish lasting links with
our partner schools.

In 2009 6 pupils from
our school visited Pienaars River School in South Africa. In
June 2010 some of their pupils paid us a visit; they joined
in our lessons, went on trips, played games and had a great
time. We learnt about each others lives and cultures, made
new friendships and made plans to meet again soon. |
| In
November 2010 six young people and two adults from Ashalayam
in Calcutta (www.ashalayam.org)
arrived at our school. They were our guests for an exciting
week of new experiences including visits to Liverpool,
Llandudno and Delemere Forest. We hope to visit them in
India next year. |

Our pupils are
currently working hard to raise funds to visit South
Africa in June 2011 and Calcutta in January 2012.
