Integrated
Services
As a school that
caters for pupils with a wide range of Complex
Special Needs we provide additional in-house
Specialists to support pupils through their academic
career with us.
These Specialist
personnel and resources come under the umbrella of
‘Integrated Services’ and include:
The fundamental
purpose of all these Specialists is to help
identify, reduce or remove barriers to learning.
This is done in a
variety of different ways, for example, individual,
small group or class based work carried out by a
Specialist worker. This enables them to identify
barriers, or potential barriers to learning, devise
strategies to overcome these barriers and then
integrate these into the learning environment in
order to support the individual pupil to access the
education available to them.
The Integrated
Services play an integral role in enabling pupils to
achieve their potential both socially, emotionally
as well as academically.
