Welcome to West Kirby School and College Dog Cafe

We have recently put steps in place to allow staff members' four legged friends (specifically dogs) to visit and be on the school premises. Opportunities involve walks to the beach or park, Horticulture lessons and taking part in Wellbeing and Adventurers on Friday afternoon. 

Children can benefit educationally and emotionally, increase their understanding of responsibility and develop empathy and nurturing skills through contact with a dog. In addition to these benefits, children (and staff) can take great enjoyment from interaction with a dog.  

This has already had a positive effect with our young people and we look forward to future visits.
